From the moment Russian tycoon Nickolai Arlov sees Abbey Carmichael at a charity fashion show he wants her. Abbey feels the attraction but is still faithful to the memory of her husband. Nickolai hasn't gotten to be a renowned businessman by taking no for an answer, however, and he soon finds a way to be a part of Abbey's life. The outcome is quite surprising to both of them. The passion practically oozes when the hero and heroine meet. The gorgeous hunk, a bit too arrogant, is used to women swooning at his feet, and Abbey's equally determined not to. Let the battle begin!

Another enjoyable book from Lynne. This is part of a trilogy and I found all three books very entertaining. As always with Lynne, there's lots of passion, quirky characters and interesting dialogue. It makes a change for the hero to be Russian and not the usual Greek/Italian/Arabic, though in fairness, LG has written about different nationalities before and I'm not complaining about the Greek/Italian/Arabic books. I don't think there's been a Russian one before though and I thought it worked very well. I also loved the way she tied the hero to the heroines in the other two books in the trilogy. Well thought out and as always, very well written.

This was my first Lynne Graham read and I loved it, a definite keeper! The two main characters are well rounded and the dialogue is well written, it flowed with ease and at no point did I have to go back and re-read a part I thought didn't make sense, which can be a draw back to some M&B books!

Abbey is feisty, and yes, she's a redhead but not downtrodden and not pocket venus and certainly not down on her luck or impoverished or without friends, family or future. She is a businesswoman who says no, and for the most means no, except when she's overcome with lust and falls into bed with Nicolai! She gives as good as she gets, is NOT a pushover, and sleeps with him through her own choice and not by being worn down by Nicolai. It is so nice not to see a pair that seemingly come together mainly because she's pregnant and he has an attack of conscience, but their epilogue is the standard LG HEA, with babies and bright future. A 5* read, one that will be sitting firmly on my keeper-shelf.
