Alejandro Navarro Vasquez, the Conde Olivares, has long desired vengeance... His wife betrayed him with an act that by the proud Spaniard's code was unforgivable. What's more, the breakdown of their marriage is a bitter truth which undermines Alejandro's every achievement. Alejandro's opportunity for justice comes when the private detective he's hired pinpoints Jemima's whereabouts...and delivers the news that she has a two-year-old son. Clearly her wanton ways have led to an illegitimate birth... But no matter: Alejandro is determined to settle the score with his runaway wife...

(From the Secretly Pregnant, Conveniently Wed trilogy).

No one can create a stubborn and arrogant hero like author Lynne Graham....

Jemima was a great heroine, she was both feisty and independent. I found her very likeable. She wasn't perfect and had made mistakes, but she stood up for her beliefs. Alejandro was strong and sexy, and the child was cute. I look for nothing more in a romantic novel. This is one of my favorite books and LG is always a reliable read.

A typical Lynne Graham novel with the usual entertaining plot. A ditatorial but not dislikeable hero in Alejandro and a feisty heroine in Jemima refusing to be a doormat. I did feel it was stretching incredulity too far that she just couldn't reveal the truth of the situation. A few hours enjoyable reading.

I've only just got hold of a copy but I have to say that I really enjoyed it. I thought the heroine's character was well developed and she came across as someone who was finally able to stand up for herself after a lifetime of believing herself to be second best. I also thought the hero had more depth and the whole story was well structured and beautifully written.

Lynne excels because she's good at writing characters that appeal. In this story, the heroine has overcome an abusive childhood and made her own way in the world. She's grown in self esteem and it gives her the courage to make her marriage work. Her husband however, has to learn that he's not the omnipotent be all and end all that he thought he was. He's made mistakes and has to live with them. He's not perfect and both characters have to accept the other for what they are. I think a lot of thought went into this book and it shows. I'm looking forward to the next two books and won't be disappointed if they are as entertaining as this one.
